How to replace the rear Motor and Transmission Mount on 2003 Cadillac DeVille?

The procedure starts by raising the vehicle and installing support under it and using a suitable jack to support the engine assembly. Begin by taking out the nuts which hold the transmission mount to the transmission mount bracket. The engine assembly requires a small rise from the jack to clear the engine frame before a combination of mounting bolt removal and socket wrench operation enables removal of the mount from the frame. Install the mount first and secure it to the frame through bolting with the nut before tightening all fasteners to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.). Position the transmission and begin installing its nuts into the mount and mount bracket. Secure the mount nut with a torque setting of 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.). Take out the engine assembly support jack before lowering the vehicle to the ground.
