Now, use the Wiper Transmission Installer (J 39529) to fit the drive link onto the wiper motor crank arm, drop the wiper module into the upper plenum so the nose faces downward, and turn it until the nose is at the rear of the vehicle. Use three screws to fasten the wiper drive system module, and tighten them to 8 N.m (71 lb in). Put the wiper motor harness and the grommet through the plenum hole, attach the wiper motor harness connector, and insert the grommet. When you're done, attach the windshield frame reinforcement with the bolts and nuts, tighten them to 9 N.m (80 lb in), and then place the air inlet grille panel and wiper arms. Unbolt the system drive through its three screws and pull the whole unit from the vehicle. Use the Wiper Transmission Separator J 39232 to disconnect the drive link from the wiper motor crank arm. Then take out the wiper motor when you remove the fasteners that hold it to the drive system module. Use 8 N.m (71 lb in) torque when screwing the wiper motor onto the wiper drive system module. Place the drive link onto the wiper motor crank arm by using the Wiper Transmission Installer part number J 39529. Put the wiper module into the upper plenum with the wiper motor facing down until it reaches the proper position and rotate to direct its nose toward the vehicle's back. Fasten the wiper drive system module with three screws at a torque of 8 N.m (71 lb in). Press the harness and grommet through the plenum hole before joining the wiper motor connectors and fixing the grommet back in the plenum hole. Secure the windshield frame reinforcement with its bolt set and two nuts before tightening everything to 9 N.m. Then put back the air inlet grille panel and wiper arms. Use the wipers to test if they function correctly.
