Cadillac Eldorado Body Control Module Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: What precautions should be taken before servicing electrical components and how should the body control module be removed and installed on Cadillac Eldorado?
A: Shift your vehicle into off position or lock position and disable all electrical equipment before you work on electrical parts. Disconnect the bad Battery Cable when your tool or equipment could reach an exposed live electrical contact to avoid harm and vehicle damage. First unfasten the bracket that holds the electrical units before pulling apart the electrical cables. Unhook the Body Control Module from its secure slots on the bay board and take it out. Set the Body Control Module directly on the electronics bay board when installing then connect its wiring to the controller. Secure the Body Control Module into the electronics bay board retainers by snapping it back into position before putting the electrical component mounting bracket in its original position.
