How to replace the wiper motor on Cadillac Eldorado?

You need Wiper Linkage Separator tool J 39232 and Wiper Linkage Installer tool J 39529 to perform this job. Seize both wiper arms and air inlet grille panel to access the wiper motor. Disconnect its electrical connectors while keeping the crank arm position marked on the old motor. Set the old motor's crank arm directly on the new unit and take the transmission drive link socket apart from the wiper motor arm with the Wiper Linkage Separator tool (J 39232). Disengage the wiper motor from its plenum attachment before unscrewing and removing the three screws from the wiper motor cover. Also remove the wiper motor cover attachment from the old motor. Fix the wiper motor cover to the new replacement motor and fasten the three screws at 2 N.m torque using a crank arm alignment. Place the wiper motor onto the plenum and fasten the transmission drive link socket to the wiper motor crank arm ball with the Wiper Linkage Installer (J 39529). Secure the wiper motor bolts at 80lb in setting before attaching electrical connectors to the wiper motor and replacing both panels in their correct order. Test the windshield wiper and washer operations.
