• Q: How to replace the wiper motor on 2001 Cadillac Eldorado?

  A: Start by taking off the A/C pipe shroud if needed then removing the wiper arms together with the air inlet grille panel. The Wiper Transmission Separator J 39232 will help you disconnect the wiper motor crank arm from the transmission drive link socket. Take off the A/C pipe shroud bracket from the wheelhouse when needed and disconnect the wires from the wiper motor. Take away the wiper motor by removing its three screws. Install the wiper motor first by placing it in position then attaching the three screws and torquing them to 80 lb in (9 N.m). Reassemble the electrical connections to the wiper motor and put back the A/C shroud bracket onto the wheelhouse when needed. The Wiper Transmission Installer tool (J 39529) attaches the transmission drive link socket to the wiper motor crank arm ball. Put back the air inlet grille panel along with the wiper arms and A/C pipe shroud if it was taken out.
