Replace the front door window motor only after removing the counterbalance spring from an out-of-vehicle regulator because the regulator lift arms maintain their tension and pose injury risks. The door trim panel should be removed first and then the water deflector. You need to disconnect the electrical connector followed by taking out the retaining nuts to extract the motor from the system. Position the new motor where intended before tightening the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Connect the electrical connector before testing the window operation and finally replace the water deflector and door trim panel.
