How to replace the Lash Adjuster in the LY2, LY6, and L92 engines on Cadillac Escalade ESV?

Engine repair professionals must detach both the Cylinder Head and the gasket before accessing the lash adjusters (209) within ly2, ly6 and l92 engines. Start by removing both Lash Adjuster guide bolts (211) and Lash Adjuster guides (210) together alongside their respective adjusters. Make a note of the current guide positioning because their notched area should match up with the block's locating tab. For Lash Adjuster (209) removal from guide (210) separate each component then create installation reference systems. Clean all lash adjusters before performing necessary inspections. Before you place lash adjusters (209) into the adjuster guides (210), you should apply engine oil to both components and put the adjusters fully inside the guide bores. Ensure the flat notch on each adjuster matches its corresponding flat area in the guide bores. Place the engine block lash adjusters and guide (210) in position and follow the fastener notice before installing the Lash Adjuster guide bolts to a torque of 12 n.m (106 lb in). Install the Cylinder Head after it has been combined with its gasket.
