In order to change the Ignition Lock Cylinder, you need to disconnect the battery negative cable and disable sir. Lower the knee bolster and pull out the steering column trim covers. Inserting an allen wrench into the hole at the top of the lock cylinder housing, push it down to deploy the tab on the lock cylinder, and have the key in the start position. Pull the lock cylinder out of the housing. During installation, insert the key into the new lock cylinder ensuring that the gears between the Ignition Switch and the lock cylinder housing are aligned properly so that it does not misalign to the point of a no start or battery drain. Using the housing place the park lock cable, align the lock cylinder and install the cylinder into the house. Wrap up the column trim covers and the knee bolster, then activate the sir system and reconnect the battery negative cable.
