How to replace the Oil Pressure Switch on Cadillac Escalade EXT?

The replacement of Engine Oil Pressure Sensor or Switch requires initial removal of the engine sight shield whenever needed. First disconnect the sensor's electrical wiring before proceeding. Insert the Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J 41712) and then remove the oil pressure sensor. The new oil pressure sensor threads require application of GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or its equivalent sealant. Bolt the new oil pressure sensor into position with the Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J 41712) then tighten it firmly to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). To complete the repair sequence first connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector then reinstall the engine sight shield as needed.
