Apply GM P/N 12346004 sealant or equivalent to the sensor threads before using the Oil Pressure Sensor Socket (J41712) or equivalent tool to tighten the sensor to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). Reinstall the engine sight shield then put back the oil pressure sensor electrical connector. Inspection of the engine oil level and any subsequent adjustment is necessary.

Reconnect the oil pressure switch electrical connector then reinstall the engine sight shield if needed.

Attach the oil pressure sensor electrical connector, secure the engine sight shield and verify and adjust the engine oil level.
