Cadillac Escalade Window Motor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear door window motor on Cadillac Escalade?
A: You should first raise the window before replacing the rear door Window Regulator motor but if the motor cannot operate remove the window to reach the retaining screws. You should start by taking out the door trim panel along with the water deflector and door speaker before providing support to the window. The procedure begins with wiring harness removal from the Window Regulator motor followed by the removal of 3 bolts (11589125) on the motor front side while avoiding cable gear dismount from the housing to prevent damage. Separate the Window Motor from its cable housing by wiggling it while paying attention to the motor orientation so you can remove it from the Window Regulator assembly. Reposition the motor inside the cable housing while performing a gentle shake movement before applying 3 bolts (11589125) and tightening them to 5 n.m (44 lb in). To install the window you must first reattach it but verify the motor wiring works properly before avoiding the support system. First check the window function by connecting the wire connector to the switch before putting back the speaker and water deflector and door trim panel.
