How to replace the front door window regulator on Cadillac Seville?

The replacement procedure for front door window regulators begins by removing the door trim panel followed by removal of the door module alongside the water deflector. When reassembling the power components complete their connection and properly secure the window at full-up height using tape. Clench the window clamp fasteners while at the same time dropping the regulator clamps until they reach complete down position. Five fasteners (1, 2) together with the electrical connector from the Window Regulator motor must be removed before removing the Window Regulator from the door. Insert the Window Regulator into the door with two captive fasteners positioned correctly for the keyhole slots of the door panel. Install the regulator by placing three remaining fasteners at 9 n.m (80 lb in) torque and then attach the electrical connector to the motor. Cut off the tape from the clamps after securing rubber insulators to vehicle Window Regulator fasteners before slowly lifting the clamps upward to connect with window glass. To adjust the window correctly begin by lowering it two inches before seating it fully rearward where it meets the center pillar then move the window forward by 2-3 mm (5/64-1/8 in) before raising it to the full up position. Fasten the window glass onto the clamps before securing their fasteners at 10.5 n.m with 93 lb in torque. The power window swap and module should be disconnected before installing the water deflector along with the door module and door trim panel while reprogramming the front door module.
