How to replace the rear trunk latch on Cadillac SRX?

When replacing the liftgate latch open the liftgate and unpinstall the liftgate trim panel. Start by removing the bolts securing the liftgate latch and letting the liftgate latch release cable detach from the latch. Then unhook the electrical connectors from the latch. Extract the liftgate latch from its position after taking away all the required parts. You need to join the electrical links to the liftgate latch then plug the liftgate latch release cable into place beside it. Set the liftgate latching mechanism into its designated position inside the boot and fasten its retention screws with a torque of 10 n.m (89 lb in). Place the liftgate lid trim panel back in its position and shut the liftgate.
