How to replace the rear trunk latch on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

Start by opening the liftgate to access the replacement of the liftgate latch. First remove the liftgate latch bolts then disconnect the release cable from the latch surface. Detach the power connections from the latch and remove the part from its position on the liftgate. Put the liftgate latch electrical connectors in place then fix its release cable. Position the liftgate latch into its proper spot within the liftgate but make sure to fasten bolts that need to be tightened to 10 nm (89 lb in). Refasten the liftgate lid cover before you close the liftgate.
