How to replace the underhood fuse box on Cadillac STS?

The first step before replacing the underhood Fuse Box or junction block is disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. First remove the fastener of the negative cable from its position at the Fuse Box then remove the cover of the Fuse Box. Separate the electrical connector then unscrew the fasteners that protect the Fuse Box board. Unlock and lift the Fuse Box board through its tabs before pulling the harness upwards at the locking tabs to remove it. The next step requires removing fasteners (1, 2) that hold the Fuse Box in position to the vehicle. Fasteners (1, 2) should be used to fix the Fuse Box to the vehicle with tightening torque set to 10 n.m (86 lb in). Weatherproof the Fuse Box board by installing the harness at its locking tabs before using fasteners to secure the board with 7 n.m (62 lb in) torque. Connect the negative cable fastener to the Fuse Box by tightening it up to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). After that install the Fuse Box cover followed by reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
