Afterward lower the vehicle to install the new Oil Filter cartridge. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the filter's oil cap threads before you install it to avoid damaging the threads while also making sure you can remove it properly. A 6-point socket should be used to install the Oil Filter cap while tightening it to 25 nm (18 lb in). The next step involves putting the oil fill cap on before adding engine oil of the right type along with the correct amount then returning the front compartment shield if needed.
