  A: One should begin the Heater Core replacement by removing the hvac module while discarding the hvac module assembly foam seal. You should disconnect the electrical connectors of the discharge temperature management sensor and separate the wiring harness retainer pin from the hvac module. The next step involves disconnecting the wiring harness from the Heater Core cover wire harness retainers before setting the wiring harness to the side. The procedure starts with heater cover screw removal and subsequent removal of the heater cover from the hvac module followed by the Heater Core extraction. Installation of the new Heater Core requires the use of fresh Heater Core seals during every replacement. The installation sequence starts with foam seal application to the Heater Core until it is properly placed within the hvac module. Fasten the heater cover into place using screws that should be tightened until they reach 1.6 n.m (14 lb in). The hvac wiring harness should be connected to Heater Core cover wiring harness retainers and the hvac module wiring harness retainer pin and discharge temperature management (DTM) sensor electrical connectors should be joined.
