Steering Wheel replacement begins by disabling sir followed by removing the inflator module from the Steering Wheel. You must first free the horn plunger from its position on the Steering Column by pinching it inward to its stopping point before rotating it 90 degrees. Before continuing you must take off the Steering Wheel retaining nut. The original j 1859-a (J 1859-A) Steering Wheel puller must be used for Steering Column protection during the replacement procedure. The j 1859-a (J 1859-A) puller attaches to the Steering Wheel for correct removal through the puller method. After wheel removal proceed by mounting the new Steering Wheel on the Steering Shaft while following directions in the fastener notice. You should secure the Steering Wheel using the retaining nut while tightening it to 41 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall both the horn plunger and Steering Wheel inflator module before activating the sir system.
