Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 Headlight Bulb Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to Replace a Headlight and Headlight Bulb on Chevrolet Avalanche 1500?
A: The replacement process of headlamp bulbs starts with the hood opening for removal of the park/turn signal lamp assembly. Start by removing both headlamp pins to detach the assembly from its position to reach the electrical connector which must be disconnected. According to procedure remove the bulb from its position in the headlamp assembly by rotating it in a counterclockwise direction. The new bulb should be inserted into the headlamp assembly by turning it clockwise until it locks into position. The replacement should be between a red-gasket high beam bulb and another high beam bulb and between a low beam bulb with gray tip and yellow gasket base and an additional low beam bulb. Secure the headlamp assembly by attaching the electrical connector to the bulb and then reinstate the headlamp along with inserting the retainer pins into their locks. Complete the installation by refitting the park/turn signal lamp assembly while conducting a test of its operational state.
