The first step to change a headlamp bulb is to elevate the vehicle while providing support. You need to open the hood after removing the push-pin retainers from the air deflector to reach the fascia extension retainers. The push pin retainers securing the grille and fascia to the upper tie bar need to be removed. Pull out the first push pin retainer beyond the center point to enable the grille to bend. The front fascia extension should be taken off next while the vehicle owner removes two bolts holding the front fascia to the fender and loosens a third bolt that connects the fascia to the fender. Align the fascia studs into the enlarged fender slot section while pulling the fascia toward you until it frees from the front fender pieces. To replace the headlamp successfully you need to remove the three bolts which fasten the headlamp to the vehicle while also discharging the headlamp washer hose if present and disconnecting the headlamp electrical connector. A strong force will be necessary to move the headlamp directly forward while extracting it from the fender socket that connects to the ball stud. The technician should move the front fascia and grille assembly ceiling upward until the headlamp assembly becomes removable from the car and after that remove the bulb cover and bulb from the bracket while maintaining halogen bulb safety protocols. Finally, use the bolt to fasten the fascia while tightening it to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Reinstall the front fascia extension along with the grille insertion into the upper tie bar using push-pin retainers. Then close the hood before settling the vehicle back to ground level. After setting the vehicle on ground level and completely lowering it you must install the air deflector while securing it with push-pin retainers.

If you need to replace the headlamp assembly or headlamp bulb or cornering, sidemarker, park, and turn signal bulb, start by opening the hood and disconnect the connector position assurance (CPA) from the electrical connector to the headlamp wiring harness and then disconnect the electrical connector. Then replace the front fascia close-out panel and remove the nuts that hold the headlamp assembly to the front wheelhouse and remove the headlamp from the wheelhouse. Continue removing the park/turn bulb/socket its rotation being counterclockwise and then pull out the bulb from inserting it in the socket. Repeat the same process for the side marker bulb/socket and the position bulb/socket. For installation, push the bulb into the socket and rotate the park/turn bulb/socket clockwise completely, followed the side marker and position them. Replace the headlamp wiring harness back to wheelhouse with the rubber grommet in place, in case it chafes. Mount the headlamp to the wheelhouse and fasten using nuts by tightening to 6 N.m (53 lb in). Connect the electrical connector to headdamwl wiring harness, install the CPA to the headdam electrical connector, and reinstall the front fascia panel. Lastly, check the headlamp just to ensure its operation and alignment if required, before closing the hood.

Replace the headlamp assembly on the vehicle while connecting the electrical connector. You should mount the turn signal lamp bulb/socket and the sidemarker lamp bulb/socket through clockwise rotation until both components achieve total seating. Problematically adjust the headlamp assembly until it meets both body and lower mounting bracket alignment and reinstall the bolts before tightening them to 4.5 n.m (40 lb in). The final step requires reinstalling the hood close out filler panel followed by closing the hood.
