  A: The first step to replace an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve pipe includes unboltting components from the Intake Manifold and the EGR Valve. Crank up the vehicle and securely support it before unthreading both bolts that connect the egr pipe to the Intake Manifold. Remove the egr pipe from the system after unbolting its lower attachment point. You should start installation by fixing the egr pipe to the Intake Manifold using both pieces before securing the egr pipe mounting bolt at 12 n.m (106 lb in). Fasten the EGR Valve by tightening its mounting bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Lower the vehicle to enable installation of egr pipe mounting bolts on the Intake Manifold where you should tighten them to 12 n.m (106 lb in).
