Chevrolet Aveo Fuel Rail Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the fuel rail assembly on Chevrolet Aveo?
A: The replacement process starts by venting fuel system pressure then you should disconnect the Battery Cable. After removing the bracket bolts you should separate both the bracket and the connectors for the Fuel Injector harness and disconnect the fuel feed line. You should take out the Fuel Rail mounting bolts while plugging the inlet and outlet ports to avoid contaminants and stay away from compressed air and solvent baths for the Fuel Rail assembly to prevent damage. An injector that separates from the rail should result in replacement of the o-ring seals and the retaining clip for the injector. Separate the Fuel Rail along with attached fuel injectors before you eliminate the injector retainers using your hands to withdraw the fuel injectors downward for disposal of the o-rings. Prior to putting new Fuel Injector o-rings inside place engine oil on them before installing them properly on the fuel injectors while orienting their terminals in the front direction. The Fuel Rail assembly requires secure retention of its fuel injectors by retainer clips before mounting into the cylinder head with 25 n.m (18 lb ft) bolt torque. After releasing the fuel feed hose and Fuel Injector harness connectors connect them and rotate each injector to prevent wiring harness stretching. Install the intake manifold bracket using the bolts before reconnecting the negative Battery Cable while checking for leaks on both Fuel Rail and injectors.
