The procedure for Alternator replacement begins with disconnecting the
Battery Cable and continuing with the air cleaner resonator and oil level indicator tube bolt removal before repositioning the tube. First disconnect the electrical connectors from the generator while also removing the
Drive Belt. Once complete you can remove the generator bolts to lower the vehicle and fully remove the generator. Position the generator and raise the vehicle until generator bolts reach their fixture points before tightening each bolt to 22 n.m (16 lb ft) following the fastener notice guidelines. After generator electrical connector setup tighten each connection to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Then add the Drive Belt and secure the oil level indicator tube bolt. Put the air cleaner resonator in place before lowering the vehicle and connecting the negative Battery Cable.
