Chevrolet Classic Fuel Filler Hose Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the fuel filler hose on Chevrolet Classic?
A: You should begin cargo hose replacement work by plugging fuel system access points with caps until you finish while maintaining system cleanliness. Start the process by taking out the fuel fill cap and draining the Fuel Tank. The work process starts by removing fuel filler pipe retainers through the fuel filler pipe access panel after which the vehicle needs to be lifted. You must loose the Fuel Filler Hose clamps on the Fuel Tank followed by the fuel fill tube before you remove the Fuel Filler Hose. Use an appropriate tool to remove the underbody attaching screw of the fuel filler pipe before extracting the fuel filler pipe. Reinstall the fuel filler pipe while placing it in its correct position and fasten it with the attaching screw that needs 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque. Install the Fuel Filler Hose into position while placing its clamps at the Fuel Tank and fuel fill tube and torques them to 3 n.m (27 lb in). Finish the task by first setting the vehicle at the right height and then securing the fuel filler pipe retainers on the access panel before putting the fuel filler cap back in place.
