Chevrolet Classic Seat Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the power seat switch on Chevrolet Classic?
    A:
The front seat bucket should be raised to maximum position before replacing the power seat switch. A flat-bladed tool will remove the bezel covering the switch before you unfasten the cushion cover's J-hook retainer to reach the switch. The process starts with unscrewing the switch bracket followed by removing the switch from inside the seat cushion frame. Remove the electrical connector from the switch's port. First establish electrical connections between the electrical connector and the switch before placing the switch into its position on the seat cushion frame. Drive the switch bracket screw until it reaches 5 N.m (44 lb in) torque. The seat cushion cover should be adjusted for appearance then secured with the J-hook retainer. Press the bezel into place along the switch until it is fully seated before readjusting the seat back to its initial position.
