To undergo the process of replacing the trailing arm, first lift and hold the vehicle. Take off the trailing arm to knuckle bolt, washer and bushing, trailing arm to body bolt. Next, pull out the trailing arm from body. For installation, start with the trailing arm-to-knuckle bolt, washer, and bushing, hand tighten the bolt only. Now, attach the trailing arm to the body and bolt it. The trailing arm to body bolt should be tightened to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.) along with 120 degrees rotation, whereas the knuckle bolt should be tightened to 69 Nm (51 ft. lbs). Finally, lower the vehicle.
