You need to start by putting the Ignition Switch to accy mode while setting the Wiper Switch at pulse. Switch off the ignition once you move both wiper arms to innerwipe mode where they stop moving. Unplug the washer hose from the Wiper Arm before removing the protective cover and the Wiper Arm nut itself. Use the Wiper Arm puller tool part j 39822 to remove the Wiper Arm from its connection to the wiper transmission drive shaft. Afterwards, take off the
Wiper Blade from the Wiper Arm. First attach the Wiper Blade to the Wiper Arm before inserting the Wiper Arm onto the wiper transmission drive shaft. To confirm the operation of the windshield wiper system position the ignition selector to accy and wiper toggle to pulse. When leaving the vehicle turn off the engine at the same time as putting the wipers in their stationary position. This alignment matches the park position. Mount the Wiper Arm onto the wiper transmission drive shaft with proper placements for both end positions: keep the driver side lh blade tip 47 mm (1.85 in) from the windshield base and position the passenger side rh Wiper Arm 90 mm (3.54 in) away. When measuring distance keep the tool straight as 90 degrees to Wiper Blade surface. After attaching all parts you need to install the Wiper Arm nut and keep it tight at 30 n.m. Next connect the wiper cover and reassemble the water hose to the Wiper Arm.
