How to replace the Dipstick Tube on Chevrolet Cobalt?

The first step to replace the oil level indicator tube needs removal of the charge air cooler (CAC) outlet pipe. Two wire harness clips should be detached from the oil level indicator tube bracket before disconnecting the vacuum hose situated on the oil level indicator tube. Follow this step by removing the oil level indicator tube bolt and taking away both the oil level indicator tube and indicator. Before installing the oil level indicator tube to the engine block apply lubricant on its O-ring seal. Installation should be performed while following all fastener caution protocols. Follow up with tightening the oil level indicator tube bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in) before connecting the vacuum hose to the tube. The last step involves reattaching the wire harness clips to the bracket of the oil level indicator tube before installing the CAC outlet pipe.
