Chevrolet Corvette Seat Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the power seat switch on Chevrolet Corvette?
A: The procedure for replacing the power seat switch begins with handling the seat back recliner handle through a suitable blunt-ended tool which pushes down the handle retaining spring clip followed by removing the handle from the shaft. First detach all the screws which hold the seat side trim panel in place and move the panel left and right to free the barrel post clip from the seat structure before relocating the panel away from the seat. Detach the switch harness before taking out the switch component. The new switch should first be attached to the side trim panel followed by installation of a new barrel clip into the upper barrel post. Finish the process by connecting the switch harness. You should push the barrel post with clip through the seat cover hole using the seat frame before securing the front and rear trim panel attaching screws. To finish installation snap the handle on the reclining mechanism shaft after placing the handle retaining spring clip into its lock position.
