The Vehicle Speed Sensor found in Chevrolet Corvette vehicles is essential in identifying the vehicles speed as well as the speed of rotation of the wheels. The VSS gives information of the speed at which the Corvette is moving while the WSS give information on the rate of revolution of each wheel. This is information required by computer modules that fine-tune functionality of systems such as the engine and the anti-lock braking system, or ABS. In this course of time, Chevrolet Corvette has benefited from passive and active Vehicle Speed Sensors. Passive sensors produce signals by pickup coils which are affected by the magnetic field produced by rotating parts on the other hand, active sensors amplify the signals produced for better output. The developments in the field of sensors have enhanced the dependable and precise working of the Vehicle Speed Sensor differently. In total the Vehicle Speed Sensor is an important component that is used in the running and reliability of Chevrolet Corvette.
