You should first remove the left rear quarter trim panels to replace the auxiliary blower motor resistor assembly. Remove the screws that are holding the blower motor resistor in the blower case, and then disconnect its electrical cable before removing it. Install the blower motor resistor into the blower case and join it by tightening the retaining screws just to 2 N.m (18 lb in). After that, mount the blower motor resistor to the blower case, tightening the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in). Next, connect the electrical connector, reinstall the left rear quarter trim panels, and finish replacing the blower motor resistor.
