The first step to replace the auxiliary air conditioning A/C Expansion Valve is to remove the Evaporator core. Carefully lift out the sealer which surrounds the A/C Expansion Valve while taking notes about the tube position as well as its orientation on the core. First disconnect the Evaporator tube connections from the A/C Expansion Valve then remove the clip retaining the capillary tube to the Evaporator core before removing the A/C Expansion Valve from the core. Installation of the A/C Expansion Valve requires core attachment after following the recommended fastener procedures. After attaching the Evaporator tube connections to the A/C Expansion Valve users should tighten them to 28 nm (21 lb ft). Next install a clip for retaining the capillary tube to the Evaporator core. Reinstall the Evaporator core after you perform the noted A/C Expansion Valve sealer application from disassembly.
