You must disconnect the battery after proper safety procedures before you can replace the auxiliary generator bracket. The first step involves removing the
Fan Shroud followed by disconnecting the electrical connector of the auxiliary generator. Start with the
Drive Belt and positive
Battery Cable removal from the auxiliary generator through boot sliding down to reveal the terminal stud before unscrewing the nut and finally removing the cable. Advance by disassembling the auxiliary generator bolts then remove the auxiliary generator before removing the auxiliary generator bracket bolts and bracket. Begin installation by attaching the auxiliary generator bracket and fasten it with bolts which must be tightened to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Put the auxiliary generator into place while securing its bolts to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Reconnect the positive cable on the auxiliary generator through these steps: place and tighten the positive cable nut to 9 n.m (80 lb in), then slide the boot back over the terminal stud. The last installation steps include putting the Drive Belt in place followed by connecting the electrical connector to the auxiliary generator while replacing the radiator Fan Shroud.
