    A: First support the vehicle while it is raised before eliminating the tire and wheel. The installation of the park brake lever pin needs proper attention to brake dust protection. Begin by uninstalling the rear Brake Drum followed by removal of the rear Brake Shoe return springs (7,8). Then take out hold-down springs and hold-down pins and shoe guide, rear Brake Shoe actuator with spring, rear Brake Shoe actuator link, rear parking brake lever strut with spring, and rear Brake Shoe adjuster spring and rear brake adjuster. The last step involves removing rear brake shoes (1, 14) while performing inspections to identify removal symptoms such as discoloration and wear on all parts and scoring and machining tolerance on the rear Brake Drum. To install the rear brake shoes (1,14) and rear Brake Shoe adjuster professionals need to apply a thin silicone lubricant coat to the rear Brake Backing Plate and adjusting screw threads. Avoid mixing the right and left Brake Shoe adjusting screws. The installation begins with placing the rear Brake Shoe adjuster spring in the correct position (without coil contact to the screw) before continuing with the rear park brake lever strut and spring followed by the rear Brake Shoe actuator link and its spring and shoe guide and hold-down pins and springs and return springs (7,8). Finish the Brake Drum reinstallation then take out the brake lever pin before installing the tire and wheel and readjusting all brakes and brake parking system before you can lower the vehicle.
