Service of the EGR Valve begins by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by air cleaner assembly removal. The procedure requires disconnecting the linear egr harness connector before removing all bolts between the linear EGR Valve and the flange. Avoid disassembling or rotating the valve by 180 degrees. The linear EGR Valve functions as an electric component therefore avoid dipping it in liquids that could cause damage because of it being electrical. Once you detach the linear EGR Valve proceed to remove the flange gasket while cleaning the surface where the valve gasket will attach. The first step of installation requires applying a new flange gasket followed by linear EGR Valve assembly. Begin installing the linear EGR Valve bolts onto the flange before torquing them to 10 n.m (89 lb in) followed by 25 nm (18 lb ft). Reassemble the EGR Valve harness connector and install the air cleaner assembly before completing the procedure with the negative Battery Cable.
