Start the left Exhaust Manifold replacement process by removing the engine cover followed by disconnecting the engine coolant temperature (ECT) gage sensor electric wires. The installation process begins by lifting the car then removing the left wheel and fender wheelhouse extension part before taking out the
Catalytic Converter assembly. Egr valve inlet pipe detachment from Exhaust Manifold must occur before you remove
Spark Plug Wires while uninstalling their support bolts and their coupled
Spark Plug wire support. Take out the spark plugs and the air pipe from the Exhaust Manifold then remove the Exhaust Manifold together with its gaskets and Spark Plug wire shields from beneath the vehicle. All gasket surfaces should be cleaned before installation. Attach the new gaskets with the Spark Plug wire shields and bolts to the Exhaust Manifold but maintain their positions through the gasket tabs. Proceed with installing the Exhaust Manifold and then connect the spark plugs followed by the Spark Plug Wires. Before reinstalling the Exhaust Manifold attach its air pipe then secure the Spark Plug wire support using bolts while tightening them to 12 nm (106 inch lbs.). The egr valve inlet pipe goes on the Exhaust Manifold followed by tightening its nut to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.) and continuing with the reinstallation of the Catalytic Converter assembly along with the fender wheelhouse extension and left front tire. The engine cover must be installed after properly connecting the ect gage sensor electrical connector and lowering the vehicle.
