Start by removing the engine cover before disconnecting the egr valve pipe from the Exhaust Manifold when present then removing Spark Plug Wires. Remove the Exhaust Manifold while preparing all its sealing surfaces for cleaning. The operator should start by placing the Exhaust Manifold into position before applying torque to the Exhaust Manifold bolts at 15 n.m (11 lb ft) during the first pass and tightening to 25 n.m (18 lb ft) in the second pass. Insert the egr valve pipe onto the manifold while completing spark plug wire reinstallation as well as attaching the Exhaust Pipe to the Exhaust Manifold before putting back the engine cover.
