To interchange the Catalytic Converter of a double exhaust system (Left), you have to lift your car and remove the
Oxygen Sensors. Remove the
Exhaust Hanger bolts and the hanger from the vehicle carefully, while maintaining safety when it comes to the exhaust service and protective gear. Then remove the nuts which hold the
Exhaust Pipe flange to the Catalytic Converter pipe and the nuts which hold the Exhaust Pipe flange to the
Muffler and a take out of the Exhaust Pipe and the flange gasket. For an installation process, remove oxygen sensors from the old Exhaust Pipe and install them into the new pipe, tightening it to 42 n.m (31 lb ft). Install new gaskets onto the Muffler flange and the Catalytic Converter pipe flange and install the Exhaust Pipe then secure in the Catalytic Converter pipe when installing the nuts onto the Exhaust Pipe in 48 n.m (35 lb ft) tightening nuts for the Catalytic Converter pipe to the Exhaust Pipe. Next, attach the nuts of the Muffler to the Exhaust Pipe with a tightness of 48 n.m (35 lb ft). Connect back the Oxygen Sensor connectors and install the Exhaust Hanger and bolts tightening the bolts to 17 n.m (13 lb ft). Finally, check the exhaust system for correct clearance and alignment of the components before lowering the vehicle.
