How to replace the Lash Adjusters on Chevrolet Express 2500?

Start by removing both the Cylinder Head and its gasket before moving forward with valve lifter replacement. Remove the valve lifter guide bolts before proceeding to extract valve lifters from guide slots but handle stuck lifters with care because they may have gum or varnish buildup. Use (J 3049-A) for removing valve lifters if required. Appearing by arranging disturbed components according to their future assembly positions or marking them for proper placement. Then proceed with cleaning and inspecting the valve lifters. The placement of each reused valve lifter should match its original position during valve lifter reinstallation. Place the valve lifters into their guides while aligning the flat surfaces at the top and bottom of each component. Add clean engine oil on both elements before final installation. The valve lifter should enter the guide bore fully while users install the valve lifter assembly onto the engine block. When completed they should torque the valve lifter guide bolt to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Reinstall the Cylinder Head together with its gasket.
