How to replace the A/C Expansion Valve in the auxiliary system on Chevrolet Express 3500?

The first step to replace the thermal expansion valve (TXV) in the auxiliary system is to remove the Evaporator core followed by gently removing the sealer from around the txv. To detach the capillary tube clip from the Evaporator core start by recording its position and orientation. Disconnect both Evaporator tube connections from the txv after which you should pull out the txv from the core. Position the txv on the core and connect the Evaporator tube connections properly to the txv before tightening them to 28 n.m (21 lb ft) following the fastener notice in service precautions. Reinstall the clip to keep the capillary tube attached to the Evaporator core using the mounting location that was observed when taking it apart. The last step includes placing txv sealer around the fitting just like the initial setup before reattaching the Evaporator core.
