Chevrolet Express 3500 Antenna Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the power antenna mast on Chevrolet Express 3500?
A: To change the power Antenna mast step one is to remove the upper Antenna mast mounting nut. Turn the ignition to on and the radio on. Ask a helper to follow the Antenna mast as it extends out from the Antenna assembly, and then tug the Antenna mast from the Antenna assembly and out of the vehicle. To install, stick the Antenna mast to the vehicle first. Put the plastic cable in to the Antenna assembly while the radio is on by putting the serrated side of the cable touching the power anthenna motor while inserting it till you meet some resistance. Turn off the radio and help channeling the plastic cable and mast into the Antenna Base. If the plastic cable is not retracting into the Antenna housing, turn the cable clockwise or counterclockwise modes till it retracts. Lastly, fill the mast section into the Antenna housing with hooks into the upper Antenna mounting nut and tighten to 6 n.m (53 lb in).
