Begin housing replacement of the engine coolant
Thermostat by first extracting the bolt which holds the coolant recovery reservoir. Reattach it elsewhere. Start by removing first the air cleaner assembly before you detach the radiator outlet hose. The procedure begins with
Water Pump inlet bolt removal then follows Water Pump inlet and Thermostat separation from the pump where the Thermostat serviceability requires complete replacement with the Water Pump inlet. Connect the Water Pump inlet and Thermostat to the Water Pump by following recommended safety guidelines for fasteners. The Water Pump inlet bolts require a torque setting of 15 nm (11 lb ft) when securing them. Begin by installing the radiator outlet hose then put back the air cleaner assembly. Deinstall the coolant recovery reservoir and bolt and secure it with a torque of 11 nm (97 lb in).
