In order to service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/switch, opinion the negative Battery Cable firstly. Drain the cooling system below the sensor's level. Next, disconnect the ect sensor electrical connector and remove the ect sensor. For installation, apply spo p/n 12346004 sealer (or equivalent) to the threads of the ect only, then install the ect sensor and tighten it to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Then, connect the ect sensor electrical connector, refill the cooling system and finally reconnect the negative Battery Cable.
