Ignition Coil and Ignition Control Module (HVS), you need to remove the air cleaner assembly and nut then disconnecting the electrical connectors. Next, remove the Ignition Coil wire from the
Distributor and remove the studs that hold the bracket and Ignition Coil on the
Intake Manifold. Next, you will have to remove the bracket and Ignition Coil, drill and punch out the two rivets that are holding the Ignition Coil to the bracket, and then take the Ignition Coil away from the bracket. For installation, mount the Ignition Coil into the bracket with the two screws included in the replacement Ignition Coil kit. Replace the Ignition Coil and bracket onto Intake Manifold using studs, fastening them with 11 n.m (8 lb ft). Reconnect the wire from Ignition Coil, make sure, it does not touch any part such as dip stick in order to avoid grounding or shorting after passing time. Lastly, reconnect the electric connectors and replace the air cleaner assembly and nut.
