How to service the MAP Sensor on Chevrolet K3500?

Before servicing the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor start by checking both the grommet for wear and electrical connections for proper attachment. A faulty diagnosis of the sensor requires replacement of the unit. First step is to detach the negative Battery Cable and proceed with removing the upper intake plenum. The process starts by unplugging the electrical connection and proceeding to remove the retainer bolt and sensor. The reuse of the original sensor requires discarding the grommet. Replace the grommet during an installation with original sensor components by first attaching the bolts or placing the sensor onto the bracket before reconnecting the electrical connector and upper intake plenum and lastly reattaching the negative Battery Cable.
