Detach the connector position assurance (CPA) from the inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module coil yellow 2-way wiring harness connector at the steering column base then remove the connector. The installer must first eliminate the inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module then discard the Steering Wheel. Next disconnect the inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module coil from the Steering Shaft by eliminating the retaining ring while also taking off the wire harness straps from the Steering Wheel column wire harness. The process of installation starts by mounting the inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module coil onto the Steering Shaft and then fixating it by using the retaining ring. After coil centering place the lower coil wire harness inside the jacket of the steering column. Hook the Steering Wheel column wire harness straps to their locations at the module and then return the Steering Wheel to its place and attach the inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module. At the base of the steering column connect the yellow 2-way inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module wiring harness connector while installing the cpa to this connector. Finally, enable the sir system.
