A first step to service and repair the Sway Bar Bushing requires lifting up the vehicle with supporting tools. The service technician should first remove the sway bar shaft insulator bracket bolt from the rear suspension support and then detach the insulator bracket from the insulator before taking out the insulator from the sway bar shaft. The installation procedure includes first installing the insulator to the sway bar shaft followed by attaching the Sway Bar Bracket. Before installation of the bolt to the rear suspension support use the information in the fastener notice in service precautions. Then install the sway bar shaft insulator bracket bolt to the rear suspension support with a torque of 48 nm (35 ft. Lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
