    To service and repair the Thermostat, you should partially drain the cooling system first. Carefully do remove the throttle body air inlet duct, followed by the air pipe and the exhaust crossover pipe. While holding the hose clamp in place with hose clamp pliers (J38185) move the hose clamp back to the Thermostat Housing and then remove the hose from the Thermostat Housing. Remove the Thermostat Housing bolts, then unlock the Thermostat from the housing gasket and then remove the Thermostat. The mating surfaces should be cleaned prior to installing the new Thermostat. Next, install Thermostat Housing and the gasket to the Intake Manifold, ensuring to tighten the Thermostat Housing bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs). Replace the exhaust crossover pipe and the air pipe, after which, connect the Radiator Hose to the Thermostat Housing. Reposition and install the hose clamp at the Thermostat Housing using hose clamp pliers (J38185) without forgetting to carefully reinstall the throttle body air inlet duct and fill up the cooling system and finally inspect the system for leaks.
