To make the change of oil cooler inlet line, first, drain the coolant from engine's cooling system. Raise and support the vehicle in a suitable manner. Remove the knock sensor's electrical harness connector, disconnect it, and then remove the
Oil Filter. Pull the oil cooler outlet hose away from the oil cooler and remove the oil cooler connector. Then, you need to remove the oil cooler inlet hose clamp and the oil cooler, then you need to remove the oil cooler inlet hose clamp, Oil Cooler Hose from the Oil Cooler Hose fitting. If required, remove the fitting of the Oil Cooler Hose. For installation, if the Oil Cooler Hose fitting was unscrewed, screw it back and tighten up to 19 nm (14.ft lbs.). Twist on the oil cooler inlet hose clamp and oil cooler inlet hose into the Oil Cooler Hose fitting in such a way that it is secured and the seal is coated with engine oil. Mount the oil cooler connector and tighten it to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs) and hook up the oil cooler outlet hose to the oil cooler. Replace the Oil Filter, connect the knock sensor electrical wiring harness connector, and lower the vehicle. Add engine oil if necessary and check the oil cooler for leaks, then fill the cooling system with engine coolant.
