Chevrolet Metro Brake Disc Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Replace the Brake Disc on Chevrolet Metro?
A: You must drain two-thirds of the master cylinder fluid before starting the Brake Disc replacement process. Lift the vehicle and take out the wheel with tire. Rest the c-clamp (J 42450-A) between the outer pad and caliper before tightening until the piston reaches its final position. Holding the caliper over the brake fluid supply, unscrew it from the caliper carrier and wire the caliper to avoid damaging the brake hose. Depress the caliper using c-clamp installation then take out the Brake Caliper Bracket and wheel disc screws. You can push the disc off Wheel Hub when its tightness allows for hand removal. Install two 8 mm bolts in its center to force the disc off using bolt torque. Before attachment use the hub cleaning kit j 42450-a to prepare the Wheel Hub for installation. Place the disc on the Wheel Hub and fix it with two screws. Put the caliper carrier, brake caliper, and pads into their proper location before adding the Brake Pads and caliper professionally. Replace the tire and wheel then lower the vehicle before filling the master cylinder reservoir.
